Blerona Zylfiu leads Virgil’s finance team and helps hire for it

Outsorcy placed Blerona Zylfiu at Virgil in August 2025, as FinOps Lead and the finance team's first hire. Nearly a year on, the team has three people, all placed by Outsorcy, and Blerona leads it. Virgil's CFO now brings her into every finance hire the team makes.

The finance team at Virgil

Virgil is a US startup-services firm with two divisions, Virgil Law and Virgil PBC. Virgil PBC handles accounting, taxes, employment, and tooling for US startups. Over the past year, its finance team has grown from one person to three, each placed by Outsorcy.

Blerona was the first of the three. Engjell and Yllka joined later in the year.

Blerona's role in finance hiring

Mason Zheng is Virgil's CFO. Over Blerona's first year, he came to trust her judgment, and now brings her into every finance role the team fills. She reviews the shortlists, interviews candidates, and gives her input before each hiring decision is made.

Leading the team

Once a new team member joins, Blerona takes the lead in managing and supporting them. She was Outsorcy's first placement on the team, and she now leads it.
