Overview

Independent product design studio Tetsu Kataoka After working as a Chief Art Director at Sony Design Center designing the VAIO Walkman Handycam and so on I established the Kataoka Design Studio and became a freelance designer. Since becoming independent I have been designing products for leading international brands such as Samsung. I receive numerous awards for my designs each year these include not only the Japanese Good Design Award but also the gold award in the iF product design award which is an internationally-respected German award and the best of the best in the red dot design award.
