Hi! I'm Zen Holmgren. Marketing is my career and small business marketing is my passion. I studied marketing through from bachelors to PHD level, post-graduate certifications and became a Certified Marketer from the Chartered Institute of Marketing in the UK. During nearly 20 years of work within marketing, I have continued to study. My latest certification is in Digital Marketing from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign but I learn the most from reading, researching and testing the latest digital products, systems and ideas. I like to stay up-to-date in the extremely fast moving marketing arena. I started my career in technical website development for local government systems and then in small business website development and marketing. I worked my way up from a graduate programme in huge finance industry firms and spent 10 years learning a huge amount about how marketing works (and doesn't!) on a very large scale. I got a lot of corporate, technical, country/industry analysis and media writing done, managed customer expectations on a huge range of products, managed projects and then teams that managed projects.
